BTS Skip the Grammys After New Asian Pop Category Is Introduced
BTS will not submit any of their music for Grammy consideration this year. The group announced the decision on July 29, 2026, through the personal accounts of all seven members.
In their statement, BTS said they want their music to be heard as a whole rather than split up by region or language. The announcement came shortly after the Recording Academy introduced a new category, Best Asian Pop Music Performance.
BTS have been nominated for Grammys before but have never won. Their chances had looked strong in 2026 after the release of Arirang, which topped multiple charts and marked their return to the global stage following the members’ military service.

Country Music Keeps Returning to Lies and Trust
Lies, cheating, and broken trust remain some of country music’s most enduring themes, and they are especially prominent in recent releases.
Songs like Morgan Wallen’s “Lies Lies Lies,” Jelly Roll’s “Liar,” Zach Top’s “I Never Lie,” and Corey Kent’s “Empty Words” show how often country artists turn personal betrayal into storytelling. The appeal, as writers and musicians note, is that listeners recognize those emotions immediately.
The subject is often handled with bitterness, irony, or humor, but the core idea stays the same: trust is fragile, and once it is broken, it is hard to repair.
